Greater West Hollywood, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Burbank and Inglewood
Since 1938 Koontz Hardware has served the West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and West LA Area. Beyond our vast and varied inventory of over 120,000 items, Koontz's highly trained and knowledgeable staff of 70 employees is ready and willing to help you with your every hardware need. It's our job to make sure you leave our store prepared and ready for any project you may be handling.
In 1982, tragedy struck when an arsonist burned the original business to the ground. This struck the West Hollywood community so strongly, that talk show host Paul Harvey dedicated a seven minute segment of his show to the Westside's painful loss. However, soon after, we moved our operations to a nearby WWII bomb factory site and re-pooled our strong customer base with the same caring and professional customer service for which it was always known. In 1988 we finally moved to our newly rebuilt store and we still stand there today.
When the Northridge earthquake hit in 1994, Koontz Hardware came to the aide of the community by opening up and operating without electricity, to make sure the Westside had the supplies they needed to rebuild and survive. We love our community and nothing can stop us from providing you with the best customer service and vast inventory available.
